Group String Classes
Our group classes take place in two community strategic locations: Cedar Point Apartments in North Raleigh and in South Raleigh at/near Peach Road Cultural Center. At each location, students participate in instrument specific classes, chamber ensembles, and orchestras. Students receive anywhere from 1-6 hours of tuition free instruction each week depending on their level. As students progress through the program, they have the opportunity to participate in one or more of our Youth Leadership options: The Student Advisory Board, one of our two Quartets in Residence, paid Teaching Assistantships, and as college interns.
Cedar Point String Classes
We partner with Refugee Hope Partners to offer tuition free string classes to students who participate in RHP’s programming either at Cedar Point or the Welcome Center. These classes are reserved for families who live in the Cedar Point Apartments, have a connection with Refugee Hope Partners OR have refugee status in the greater Triangle area.
If you have a question about whether your child qualifies for this location or if you have a student you would like to recommend, please contact us at info@theraleighmusiccollective.org
South Raleigh String Classes
In the fall of 2022, we launched a second site in partnership with the City of Raleigh at Peach Road Cultural Center to serve our South Raleigh community. This year, all new 3rd-5th grade beginner string students will have classes Tuesday AND Wednesday at Peach Road Cultural Center from 5:00-5:45pm. You can sign your child up here
All new 6th-12th grade beginner string students and returning students will have classes within 5-7 minutes of Peach Road Cultural Center. All classes will take place Tuesday afternoons.
We are adding an optional second day for students on Wednesday to take group lessons, instrument specific music classes, and private lessons. Students who audition into level 2, 3, or 4 will receive a full scholarship for this second day.
6th-12th grade beginner string students can sign up here.
All returning students and students with 1+ of playing experience can sign up here.

How YOU Can Help!
While a portion of every private lesson payment goes towards funding our group classes, supplies, Squad Saturday scholarships and summer camp scholarships, it does not cover the majority of costs. We are always looking for new champions to help continue to grow the work we do with these children. If you are interested in donating a scholarship for summer camp, or lessons, donating an instrument, or purchasing supplies, please reach out to us at theraleighmusiccollective@gmail.com.
