Students participating in Tuesday classes have the option to receive a scholarship for group lessons if the successfully audition into Level 2.

Studio Policies

Scheduling

Students receive 3 lessons every month. You and your teacher will decide your weekly day/time and unless otherwise notified, your teacher will plan on lessons being the first 3 weeks of the month. Students are allowed to add on another monthly lesson for an additional cost if needed.

Rescheduling/Cancellations

If private lessons are cancelled before 24 hours, they are eligible to be made up. If a lesson is forgotten or less than 24 hour notice is given, that lesson is forfeited. All make-up lessons must be rescheduled by the end of the month, otherwise that lesson is also forfeited. Group lessons are not eligible for makeups

Practicing

Each teacher will work one on one with you to help create a practicing plan that is best suited and tailored to each students needs. While practicing is incredibly important and necessary for growth, every child is motivated differently which greatly factors into practicing habits. When in doubt, we encourage students to practice 3-5 times a week for as long as their lesson lasts.

Performances

Students will have 2-4 performance opportunities a year. While no student is ever required to perform, we love to encourage students to step out of their comfort zone and share a gift they have been cultivating with those around them.

Payment

Monthly payment is due at the first lesson of every month. Payment includes three monthly lessons, Squad Saturday, masterclass fees, accompaniment fees, and some materials. Invoices will be sent out at the beginning of each month and you can pay online or via check.

COVID Policies

We are committed to following guidelines that keep our students and staff safe. Our teachers will work directly with families to create a plan that works for unique considerations and concerns. We can discuss masks, social distancing, and virtual lesson options. At this time, masks are optional.

Our Rental Program

Any students taking lessons or classes with the Raleigh Music Collective has the option to rent an instrument from us. All instruments come with the instrument, case, bow, cleaning cloth, and rosin. Cellos come with a rock stop. The rental fee is paid in one payment at the beginning of the school year in September. Violins and violas are $200 for a year and cellos are $350. General repairs and maintenance are included in your rental fee but if the instrument is unrepairable, you are responsible for the replacement cost. If for some reason you choose not to continue using your instrument for the whole year, you will be reimbursed the remaining rental fee.

Instruments are provided at no cost for families participating in tuition free group classes or if you are a part of the scholarship lessons program.
